Epic Extender Pro vs HOG Extender

I have tested every serious extender on the market. The HOG is the cheap one, and the only real question is what you give up to save the difference. Here is exactly that, checked line by line against both makers’ own published material.

Two very different machines

Same idea, built to two very different budgets. One is printed plastic and a scale on a rod. The other has a screen, an app and five cup sizes in the box.

Pick the cup that fits from five sizes and clip it in.

1 Getting attached
HOG Extender

Hook on the one cup that came in the kit, in the one size it came in.

Buy the extender on its own and there is no cup at all. That is $13 more.

They do have a scale, printed on the rod in pounds, and that is a real plus.

The catch: the printed scales turn with the knobs, so the numbers move away from you.

There is no strap attachment. You tie something on, or you sit still.

What makes Epic Extender Pro so superior

Every part of it exists to fix one of the four reasons men quit extending: guesswork, discomfort, no record of what you did, and no idea what to do next.

This animation shows the Epic Extender, not the Pro. It is our lower priced model, built the same way but without the screen.

  • You always know the number. A digital tension display sits on the top bracket, in kilograms or pounds, and it does not move when you turn the rods.
  • The app remembers for you. Bluetooth logs your tension and your minutes, session after session.
  • It tells you what to do next. Day by day plans for length, girth or both, plus the full video course.
  • Built for hours, not minutes. A wide padded silicone base, made for 1 to 4 hours of daily wear.
  • Wear it and get on with your day. Angle straps hold it in any position, including under loose clothes.

Everything in the Epic Extender Pro kit, labelled: digital display, strap attachment, adjustable steel rods, silicone pad, vacuum cups, pump handle, silicone sleeves and cohesive tape
Everything in the box, and what each part is for.

Digital display

Your exact pull on the screen, in kilograms or pounds. Set a number, hit it every session.

Strap attachment

Two anchor points for the angle straps, so you can wear it in any position.

Adjustable steel rods

Marked in both units and adjustable as you go, with longer rods there as you grow.

Silicone pad

The wide soft base that sits against you, so a long session does not end early.

Vacuum cups

Five sizes in the kit, not one. The fit is the difference between a session and a sore afternoon.

Pump handle

Draws the vacuum in the cup in a couple of squeezes.

Silicone sleeves

Four of them, so you can pick the fit that is comfortable rather than the only one you were sent.

Cohesive tape

Sticks to itself and not to you. There if you want extra grip on a longer session.

And none of it is left to you to figure out

Every extender comes with the free PE Trainer app, the full video course and real support from our team. You get the routine, the technique and someone to ask, so you get the best results in the shortest time instead of guessing your way through the first six months.

First extender I’ve got

Haven’t tried any other extender but right away with the digital scale doing one hr every day able to pull at 7.5lbs off the bat just because how comfortable it is! starting size bpel 5’ length x 5’ girth, maybe a year or more I’ll see some improvements.

100% 使いやすいエクステンダー

100% easy to use extender. Brilliant design, awesome quality & construction. I have been using the penimaster pro, but this is so much more for getting the right tension. 100% money well spent. Currently stretching at 2.5 kg comfortably.

Where it actually matters

Five rounds. Only the things that genuinely differ. Here is the card.

Epic Pro 40 HOG

Round 1Knowing your exact tension

Wins the round

A digital display on the device, in kilograms or pounds. The number is on a screen, so it stays where you can read it however you turn the rods.

Loses

They do have a scale, printed on the rod in pounds up to 20, and that already beats most extenders. The catch is the printed scales turn with the knobs, so the numbers rotate away from where you are looking.

Round 2Knowing what to do, and what you did

Wins the round

The free app logs your tension and your minutes over Bluetooth, then hands you a day by day plan, the full video course and someone to ask.

Loses

No app, no plan, no course, no coaching. You buy the frame and you work the rest out from forums. For most men that is the actual reason the routine stops after a month.

Round 3How it is built

Wins the round

The reviewer MrEcz owns both and puts it plainly. The Epic is way more solidly built, sturdier yet still comfortable, with strap points on the frame and bundled stretching built into the cup.

Loses

In the same review: the housing comes apart, the small knobs work loose, the bundle knob feels flimsy, there is nothing for the straps, and the soft cushion costs some stability. His summary is a Ferrari against a Honda.

Round 4If it turns out not to suit you

Wins the round

180-day money back guarantee. Six months is long enough to actually find out whether a traction routine is something you will stick to.

Loses

Fourteen days from delivery, and only in the original sealed packaging. Their policy is explicit that anything opened, used or worn cannot be returned, and you pay the return postage.

Round 5What the money buys

Even

$379 buys a device that tells you the number, an app that runs the routine, five cup sizes, a build that holds up, and 180 days to change your mind. You have one of these. Saving $260 once, on the thing you are applying force to every day for a year, is a strange place to economise.

Even

$94 buys the frame on its own, with nothing to attach it to. A usable kit is $119, and that is one cup and one sleeve. Cheaper on the sticker, and that is the whole of it.

Final card 4 – 0Four rounds to Epic Pro, one even

Results are permanent and real

Up to two full inches of permanent length is possible, and the average gain our buyers report is about 1.6 inches. Length built through traction stays. Most men also notice much better erection quality along the way, harder and fuller, and that shows up long before the inches do. The verified buyers below are the ones who kept turning up.

The verdict, blunt

Epic ProWhat he rates

  • An extender without a built-in scale belongs in the garbage, in his words.
  • Way more solidly built. Sturdier, and still comfortable.
  • Strap points on the frame, so he can wear it and move around.
  • Bundled stretching is built into the cup rather than bolted on.
  • He calls it the most comfortable extender he has used.
  • An amazing device, and he recommends it 100 percent.

HOGWhat he found

  • The printed scales on the rods rotate, which he calls really annoying.
  • The housing comes apart, which does not happen on the Epic.
  • The bundle knob feels flimsy and there is nothing for the straps.
  • The cushion is comfy, but the softness costs some stability.
  • The small knobs work loose, so keep the tool handy.

MrEcz is a credible, long-standing reviewer of PE equipment who tests gear from every brand himself. He owns both of these and compares them directly in this video, which is why the criticisms above carry weight.

Straight answers

Is Epic Extender Pro better than the HOG Extender?

Yes, and it costs three times as much, so it should be. The Epic Pro is ahead on the digital tension display, the app with guided routines and the video course, the build quality, the five cup sizes in the box, the angle straps, and 180 days to change your mind against their 14. The HOG is cheaper on the sticker, and that is the one thing it is ahead on.

Does the HOG Extender have a tension scale?

Yes. Their own listing says built-in scale in pounds, adjustable up to 20 lb, and you can see it printed on the rod in their photos. Anyone telling you the HOG has no gauge is wrong, and a scale is the single most important feature an extender can have. The difference is that theirs is printed on a rod that turns as you adjust it, so the numbers rotate out of view, while ours is a screen that stays put.

The HOG pulls 20 lb and the Epic pulls 22. Is that the difference?

No, and we are not going to pretend two pounds matters. Almost nobody trains anywhere near either ceiling. Most men work between 2 and 10 lb, and our own reviewers describe pulling at 7.5 lb and 2.5 kg comfortably. Judge these two on the readout, the build and the support, not on a number neither of you will use.

What does the HOG kit actually include?

The $119 Starter Kit is the extender plus one vacuum cup, one silicone sleeve and a suction pump. The $94 version is the frame on its own, with no attachment at all, and their page says so plainly. A cup is $13, a sleeve is $8 and the pump is $5 on top. The Epic Pro kit comes with five cup sizes, four sleeves, cohesive tape, the pump handle and the angle straps.

Can I return a HOG if it does not work out?

Only if you have not opened it. Their policy gives you 14 days from delivery and states that any item that has been opened, used or worn cannot be returned or exchanged, with the buyer paying return postage. If it arrives damaged they will replace it or refund it. Epic comes with a 180-day money back guarantee.

Does anything on the Epic Pro wear out?

The silicone sleeves do. On a regular routine of an hour or more a day, expect to swap them about once a month, often longer, and replacements are cheap. HonestPE say the same about theirs, calling silicone sleeves wear items in their own refund policy. Everything else on both devices you keep.

I cannot afford $379. What should I do?

Buy a cheaper Epic rather than a cheaper brand. The Epic Extender Full Set is $259, the Best Extender V5.0 is $256 and the All Day Stretcher is $199. They are built to the same standard as the Pro, they take the same cups, and they come with the same app, the same video course, the same support and the same 180-day money back guarantee. The only thing you give up is the digital screen. That is a much smaller thing to give up than the routine, the guarantee and the build.

Who actually makes the HOG?

It is sold by HonestPE at honestpe.shop, and their own page describes it as the latest extender from HonestPE based on the original Hog Stretcher. It is a small operation. They sell spare plastic parts and springs directly, and they note that colour shades vary between batches as their material supply changes. Worth knowing before you buy, because a spare part and a colour match are not guaranteed to be the same next year.

How long should I wear an extender each day?

Start at 30 minutes a day on low tension for the first week, then build gradually towards 1 to 4 hours. Stop immediately if you feel numbness, pain or a colour change. Traction works through consistency over months, not through pulling harder, which is exactly why knowing your real tension number matters so much.
