Epic Extender Pro vs Total Man Extender

I have tested every serious extender on the market, and Total Man make a properly engineered one. This is the closest comparison on this site. Here is exactly where the two differ, checked line by line against both makers’ own published material.

Two very different machines

Both are well made. One is a modular kit you build to taste and estimate by feel. The other is a finished device that tells you the number and remembers it.

What makes Epic Extender Pro so superior

Every part of it exists to fix one of the four reasons men quit extending: guesswork, discomfort, no record of what you did, and no idea what to do next.

This animation shows the Epic Extender, not the Pro. It is our lower priced model, built the same way but without the screen.

  • You always know the number. A digital tension display sits on the top bracket, in kilograms or pounds. No accessory, no batteries to buy.
  • The app remembers for you. Bluetooth logs your tension and your minutes, session after session.
  • It tells you what to do next. Day by day plans for length, girth or both, plus the full video course.
  • Built for hours, not minutes. A wide padded silicone base, made for 1 to 4 hours of daily wear.
  • Nothing to build first. One adjustable pair of rods, no loose parts to sort through and no tools.

Everything in the box, and what each part is for.

Digital display

Your exact pull on the screen, in kilograms or pounds. Set a number, hit it every session.

Strap attachment

Two anchor points for the angle straps, so you can wear it in any position.

Adjustable steel rods

One pair that adjusts, rather than twenty to sort through, with longer rods there as you grow.

Silicone pad

The wide soft base that sits against you, so a long session does not end early.

Vacuum cups

Five sizes in the kit. The fit is the difference between a session and a sore afternoon.

Pump handle

Draws the vacuum in the cup in a couple of squeezes.

Silicone sleeves

Four of them, so you can pick the fit that is comfortable rather than the only one you were sent.

Cohesive tape

Sticks to itself and not to you. There if you want extra grip on a longer session.

And none of it is left to you to figure out

Every extender comes with the free PE Trainer app, the full video course and real support from our team. You get the routine, the technique and someone to ask, so you get the best results in the shortest time instead of guessing your way through the first six months.

Extensor 100 % fácil de usar

100% easy to use extender. Brilliant design, awesome quality & construction. I have been using the penimaster pro, but this is so much more for getting the right tension. 100% money well spent. Currently stretching at 2.5 kg comfortably.

The customer service is great!

The customer service is great! I had an issue with the display on the extender and they sent me a completely new one even after I offered to change the top peace out if they mailed it. Thank you epic extender team!

First extender I’ve got

Haven’t tried any other extender but right away with the digital scale doing one hr every day able to pull at 7.5lbs off the bat just because how comfortable it is! starting size bpel 5’ length x 5’ girth, maybe a year or more I’ll see some improvements.

Where it actually matters

Five rounds. Only the things that genuinely differ. Here is the card.

Epic Pro 40 Total Man

Round 1Knowing your exact tension

Wins the round

A digital display on the device, in kilograms or pounds, on every session without you doing anything. You set a number and you hit that number.

Loses

Tension is set by how many rubber bands you fit. Their own guide puts four bands at about 1 to 2 kg and ten at about 3 to 4 kg. That is a range, not a reading, and the device itself never tells you.

Round 2A scale you do not have to buy

Wins the round

The scale is the device. It is on the bracket, it is always there, and it costs nothing extra.

Loses

They do sell a proper digital scale, 0 to 50 kg at 5 g precision, and it is good. It is also $49 on top, it does not come with batteries, and it is a hanging scale you have to rig up rather than a readout you glance at.

Round 3Doing the same session tomorrow

Wins the round

The free app logs your tension and your minutes over Bluetooth, so tomorrow repeats today without you writing anything down.

Loses

There are no electronics in the device, so nothing is captured. They include printed tracking sheets, which is better than nothing, but it is still you and a pen.

Round 4How much there is to set up

Wins the round

One adjustable pair of rods and a cup that clips in. Nothing to assemble, nothing to lose, no tools.

Loses

Their own kit list: 20 rods in three lengths, 30 tension bands, aluminium adapters and collars, and an Allen key. Modular is powerful, and it is also a lot of small parts between you and a session.

Round 5The routine and the coaching

Even

Guided day by day plans in the app, the full video course, real support from our team and a private Discord with any purchase.

Even

Training plans, tracking sheets, community access, direct email support and a complimentary 1-on-1 strategy call, all included. This is as good as ours and we are not going to claim otherwise.

Final card 4 – 0Four rounds to Epic Pro, one even

Results are permanent and real

Up to two full inches of permanent length is possible, and the average gain our buyers report is about 1.6 inches. Length built through traction stays. Most men also notice much better erection quality along the way, harder and fuller, and that shows up long before the inches do. The verified buyers below are the ones who kept turning up.

The verdict, blunt

Epic ProHis verdict

  • An extender without a built-in scale belongs in the garbage, in his words.
  • The digital display means no guessing and no squinting at rod markings.
  • He streams live sessions with the tension and the time on screen from the app.
  • He calls it the most comfortable extender he has used.
  • It no longer switches itself off at zero tension, which his old extender did.
  • Bundled stretching is built into the cup rather than bolted on.
  • An amazing device, and he recommends it 100 percent.

Straight answers

Is Epic Extender Pro better than the Total Man Extender?

This is the closest comparison on our site, so here is the honest version. Total Man build a properly engineered extender and their support is genuinely good. Epic Pro is ahead on four things: a tension number on the device instead of a band count, no $49 scale to buy, an app that logs every session, and one adjustable pair of rods instead of twenty loose ones. They are ahead on price, on travel range, and on a published two year warranty.

How does the Total Man extender measure tension?

It does not. Tension comes from how many rubber bands you fit, and their guide puts four bands at roughly 1 to 2 kg and ten at roughly 3 to 4 kg. If you want a real figure they sell Traction Scales for $49, a digital hanging scale reading 0 to 50 kg at 5 g precision in kg, lb or oz. It is a good scale. It is also an extra purchase, it needs two AAA batteries you supply, and you have to hook it up rather than glance at it.

What is their 100mm travel length argument?

It is a good one, and we will say so. Their case is that most extenders give around 25mm of travel, and when the device runs out of travel while you sit or bend, the force spikes instead of staying where you set it. Theirs keeps a 100mm buffer so the tension moves less than you do. If that engineering matters most to you, it is a genuine point in their favour and it is one of the reasons this comparison is close.

What is in the $139 Total Man kit?

A lot, and it is fair to say so: the frame, base ring, elastic tension system, 20 rods across three lengths, aluminium adapters and collars, an Allen key, 30 tension bands, three silicone sleeves, five vacuum chambers, valves, clips and end caps, micropore tape, spandex sleeves, an accordion pump, a silicone hose and a measuring ruler. The Epic Pro kit is simpler on purpose: the device, five cups, four sleeves, tape, the pump handle and the straps.

Can I return a Total Man extender?

Their general policy states that due to the nature of the product they do not accept returns, with replacements or refunds for defective items. They do run a 60 Day Satisfaction Money Back Guarantee, but it is conditional: you send the product back and email a written explanation with photographs of their product and the rival product, making the case that theirs is not superior. Their own page says the conditions exist so people cannot simply change their mind. Epic comes with a 180-day money back guarantee.

What about their triple money back guarantee?

That is a testimonial reward, not a return. If you buy one of their packages, follow the programme and then supply a written, audio or video testimonial with before and after images, they will pay you back 3, 4 or 5 times what you spent, subject to a quality check. You keep the products. It is a real offer and an unusual one, but it is a marketing scheme rather than a way to get your money back if the device is not for you.

Who has the better warranty?

They do, on paper. Total Man publish a two year replacement warranty on the extender frame and on their vacuum chambers. We replace a damaged or faulty unit free, and buyers describe exactly that happening in their reviews. Where we are ahead is the guarantee that covers you changing your mind, which is 180 days against their conditional 60.

Does anything on the Epic Pro wear out?

The silicone sleeves do. On a regular routine of an hour or more a day, expect to swap them about once a month, often longer, and replacements are cheap. Everything else, the cup, the rods, the base and the display, you keep. Total Man have their own running costs: rubber bands, valves, o-rings and TPE end caps, all of which they list as spares.

Why is the Epic Pro more expensive?

$139 for their kit against $379 for the Pro. The extra buys the digital tension display, the Bluetooth app and video course, and a device that is finished rather than assembled. If you want the Epic build without the screen, the Epic Extender Full Set is $259, the Best Extender V5.0 is $256 and the All Day Stretcher is $199, and they carry the same cups, the same course, the same support and the same 180-day guarantee.

How long should I wear an extender each day?

Start at 30 minutes a day on low tension for the first week, then build gradually towards 1 to 4 hours. Stop immediately if you feel numbness, pain or a colour change. Traction works through consistency over months, not through pulling harder, which is exactly why knowing your real tension number matters so much.
