Is Epic Pump better than the DP-4000?
For almost everyone, yes, and it costs less. Epic is one piece, runs cordless off a USB-C charge, works in water as well as air, has the cylinder in the box and is programmed from your phone. The DP-4000 is a benchtop box on a wall adaptor, air only, no cylinder included, and it is programmed from a Windows PC over a USB cable. Does it need a computer?
To build or change a routine, yes. Their spec sheet lists Windows XP through Windows 11 and nothing else, so there is no Mac version and nothing on a phone. You can save a program to the device and run it without the PC connected, but you still need a wall socket or a 12 volt supply to run it at all.
Can I use either one in water?
Epic runs in water exactly the way a hydropump does, and switches to air when you would rather not get in the shower. The DP-4000 is a mains-powered air pump, so water is not an option.
How much pressure is safe?
