Epic All Day Stretcher, a soft knee band with an elastic cord and a cup adapter

The short answer

An all day stretcher, or ADS, is a soft band you wear just below the knee. An elastic cord runs from the band up to a vacuum cup on the head of the penis and pulls gently down, about 1 to 5 lb. The pull is light, so you can wear it for hours under loose clothes.

Use it after your extender, not instead of it. Our coaches' order is extender first, then the stretcher for 2 to 4 hours, then the pump. Start at 1 to 3 lines on the cord, check the head every 45 to 60 minutes, and never sleep in it.

What Is an All Day Stretcher?

An all day stretcher is a low-tension traction device you wear for hours. It has three parts: a soft band that goes around your leg just below the knee, an elastic cord, and a vacuum cup that holds the head of the penis.

The cord runs from the band up to the cup and pulls the penis gently down along your leg. Men call it an ADS, an all day extender or a penis stretcher. It is not a sleeve you wear during sex, and it is not a full extender with rods and a base.

It keeps you in an extended state while you heal after high tension.

How Does an All Day Stretcher Work?

Traction works by keeping tissue under a light, steady stretch for a long time, so it slowly adapts and grows. An extender does that with higher tension for an hour or two. An all day stretcher does it with lower tension for many hours, so the penis stays in a stretched state while it recovers from the harder session.

Because the band sits on your leg, the pull rises and falls a little as you walk, sit and stand. That is part of the design.

Inconsistent stretch has many benefits actually. People literally try to emulate that with extenders. It's also much better for blood flow.

Does an All Day Stretcher Work?

No study has tested an all day stretcher by itself, and we won't pretend one has. What the studies do show is that traction grows length when men wear it for many hours a day, and an all day stretcher is the easiest way to get those hours.

Up to 9 hours a day

+1.7 cm in 3 months

These studies used extenders, not all day stretchers. They show that more hours under traction did more. Read every study on our clinical studies page.

Can an All Day Stretcher Replace an Extender?

It can get you some length on its own, but it works best as the second half of a routine. A randomized trial found that 30 to 90 minutes a day of higher-tension traction grew length too, so the extender session does the heavy lifting and the stretcher adds hours on top.

Both will deliver better/faster gains but you should gain some length with 5hrs in the ADS.

Coach Chaswood, asked if the ADS can replace an extender

That is why our coaches tell beginners who only have a stretcher to add an extender when they can, and men with a busy day to use the stretcher on the days the extender doesn't fit.

How Much Length Can You Gain?

In the traction studies above, men gained about 1.2 to 2.3 cm, roughly half an inch to an inch, over 3 to 6 months of daily wear. In our PE Trainer app, where men log their extender and stretcher time, men who measured a year in gained a typical +0.47 inches. The top 10% gained +1.02 inches or more, and 80% measured some gain.

107 men in the PE Trainer app, self-measured bone-pressed erect length, about 12 months apart. See month by month results in penis extender before and after.

What You Need

The band and cord are only half of it. The stretcher pulls on a vacuum cup, so you need the same cup setup you would use with an extender.

  • The stretcher: the knee band and the elastic cord with its cup adapter.
  • A vacuum cup that fits you, with a hand pump. Epic Cups V3 twist to lock, so they don't let go by accident.
  • A silicone sleeve to grip the shaft and seal the cup.
  • Cohesive tape to wrap the head under the cup. It sticks to itself, not your skin.
  • A timer, ideally the PE Trainer app, to log your hours and remind you to check in.

The full setup: band and cord, vacuum cups, a hand pump and sleeves.

If you already own an Epic extender, your Epic cups and sleeves fit the stretcher. Some members ordered the stretcher without cups and found they had nothing to clip it to, so check before you order.

How to Put On an All Day Stretcher, Step by Step

"Is there a tutorial?" is one of the questions we see most in our Discord. Here is the whole setup. It takes about 5 minutes the first few times, then 2.

  1. Paso 1

Put on your cup the usual way

Tape the head with Epic Cohesive Tape, fit the sleeve on the cup, put the head in, pump and lock the valve. It is the same cup setup you use with the extender.

  2. Paso 2

Strap the band below the knee

Wrap the soft band around one leg just below the knee, snug but not tight. Not on the thigh. There it slides and gives almost no pull.

  3. Paso 3

Clip the cord to the cup

Snap the adapter at the top of the cord onto your cup. The cord should run straight down along your leg.

  4. Step 4

Set 1 to 3 lines and lock the cord

Stand up straight. Pull the cord through its holder until 1 to 3 lines show, then lock it in the holder. If it keeps sliding, check that the holder is not upside down.

  5. Step 5

Walk around and check the feel

Take a few steps and sit down once. The pull changes as you move, and that is normal. You should feel a light stretch along the shaft, never at the head.

  6. Step 6

Log it and set a reminder

Start a stretching session in the PE Trainer app and set a reminder to check the head every 45 to 60 minutes.

  7. Step 7

Take it off the right way

Unclip the cord first, then twist the cup valve to release the vacuum, slide the cup off and unwrap the tape.

Strap It Below the Knee, Not the Thigh

The band goes around the top of your calf, just below the knee. Men with bigger legs sometimes try the thigh, but up there the band slides and the cord is too slack to pull. If you sit a lot, move the band a little higher on the knee.

Diagram of an all day stretcher band worn just below the knee with the cord running up
The band goes just below the knee. On the thigh there is too little pull and it slides.

Locking the Cord So It Holds

The cord runs through a holder that locks it at your length. If the tension drops back down every time you let go, the holder is usually upside down. Flip it, pull the cord through until you see the lines you want, and lock it. Baseem's setup videos are in the tutorials channel of our Discord.

How Much Tension to Use

Start at 1 to 3 lines on the cord. Each line is about 1 lb of pull, and the stretcher tops out around 5 lb. That is light on purpose. If you want more, that is a job for the extender.

Elastic cord with evenly spaced tension lines next to a gauge pointing to a low setting
Each line on the cord is about 1 lb. Most men live between 1 and 3 lines.

We try to aim at 1 lb of tension for every line. It's going to depend on your height, on the length of the shock cord.

Baseem, on YouTube

Because the real pull depends on your height and where the band sits, use the lines to repeat the same setting every day, not as an exact number. You should feel a light stretch along the shaft. If you feel it at the head, or the head goes cold or numb, it is too much or the cup is wrong.

  • Week 1: 1 to 2 lines.
  • Once that feels easy: 2 to 3 lines.
  • Experienced: up to about 5 lines, never past comfort.

You can also change the pull by moving the band. Sliding it a little lower on your calf adds pull, and higher takes some off. In his course video, Baseem goes from about 2 lb to about 5 lb just by moving the band down.

How Long to Wear an All Day Stretcher

Start with 30 to 60 minutes and add a little each week. Our coaches aim for 2 to 4 hours after an extender session. Most men on our product page wear it 4 to 6 hours a day, and some build to 8.

The rule from our coaches is simple: as many hours as you can, as long as you get no blisters, cold or numbness. On day one, keep it short. One member wore it 8 hours straight his first time and got 4 blisters.

2-3 hours in the extender followed by another 2-3 in the ADS is perfect recipe for results.

Coach Chaswood, in our Discord

Check the Head Every 45 to 60 Minutes

Low tension does not mean set and forget. Every 45 to 60 minutes, look at the head through the cup. Pink and warm is good. Cold, pale, purple or numb means take it off now. As you get used to it, you can stretch the gap a little, but keep checking.

Set a reminder. Check for color and feeling every 45 to 60 minutes.

Never Sleep in It

This is the one hard rule. You get several erections a night, and you can roll into a position that cuts off blood flow without waking up. Take the stretcher off before bed, every time.

Take it off before bed. Night erections and rolling over make it unsafe.

When you sleep you get nocturnal erections, you should never stretch while erect.

Where It Fits in Your Routine

Our coaches' order is the same every day: extender first for focused tension, then the all day stretcher for hours, then the pump at the end.

Day timeline: a short extender session, then hours in the all day stretcher, then a short pump session
Extender first, then the all day stretcher for hours, then the pump.
StagePlan
Weeks 1 to 2Extender 30 minutes at 2 to 3 lb, or start with the stretcher alone, 1 to 2 hours at 1 to 2 lines every other day.
Weeks 3 to 4Extender up to 1 hour, then the stretcher 1 to 2 hours. Check the head every 45 to 60 minutes.
Month 2 onExtender 1 to 2 hours, then the stretcher 2 to 4 hours or more. Pump at the end of the day if you use one.
Every weekA rest day every 4 to 5 days. Take 2 days off if erections feel weaker.

Can Beginners Start With the All Day Stretcher?

Yes. Beginners only need light tension, so Baseem has told new members to start with the stretcher. Once a couple of weeks at 1 to 2 lines feels easy, our coaches add an extender at 2 to 3 lb and keep the stretcher for the hours after. Read how long to wear a penis extender for the extender side of the plan.

Wearing It Under Clothes, at Work and on the Move

Wearing it while you get on with your day is the whole point. It disappears under loose jeans, joggers and most work pants. Slim dress pants can show the cord.

Man standing in loose black joggers wearing the Epic All Day Stretcher underneath, nothing visible
Wearing the stretcher under joggers. You can't tell.

Some members wear it at the office, and others keep it for home and errands. Hip belt designs are easier to hide, but our coaches say they don't work well. The knee band is what gives a real pull.

Sitting and Driving

You can sit and drive in it, but a bent knee lowers the pull. With the leg fairly straight you feel more. For long drives or a desk day, move the band higher on the knee.

Walking, the Gym and Running

Walking at low tension is fine, and the changing pull as you walk is good for blood flow. Baseem and our coaches don't recommend running or lifting in it, because a sudden yank on the cup can hurt you.

Bathroom Breaks

Unclip the cord and take the cup off. You don't need to carry the pump to put it back on.

You don't need a pump. You can just allow some space in the cup and push the air out. This will create a vacuum on its own.

Is an All Day Stretcher Safe?

At low tension, with the head taped and checked often, it is one of the gentlest ways to do penile traction. The risks come from too many hours too soon, a bad cup fit, and wearing it to bed.

In the traction studies, side effects were mild. In the randomized trial they were all mild and short-lived. In a controlled trial of men with Peyronie's disease, 43% had mild issues, mostly local discomfort and some numbness of the head. Erections did not get worse. Erectile function scores went up in several studies, and in one, 9 of 13 men with mild erectile dysfunction had normal function 9 months later.

  • Stop right away if the head turns cold, pale, blue or purple, or goes numb.
  • Stop for sharp pain, or soreness that is still there the next day.
  • Take 2 days off if erections feel weaker, then come back with fewer hours.
  • Stop all vacuum if you get a blister, until it heals fully.
  • See a doctor if color or feeling does not come back quickly.

If you have a curved penis or Peyronie's disease, see a urologist first. Read our guide to penis extenders for Peyronie's disease.

Problems and Fixes

221 members have posted about the stretcher in our Discord, and Baseem and our coaches have answered 122 times. These are the problems that come up again and again.

Flat lay of tape, a vacuum cup, a silicone sleeve and a checklist for fixing all day stretcher problems
Most problems come down to the cup, the sleeve or the tape.
  • The cup slips off after a few hours. Air is leaking in, usually through a sleeve that is too loose or too short. Trim hair short, smooth the sleeve and make sure it covers about two thirds of your shaft. Our coaches say a second sleeve is fine if you feel no cold or numbness. Very tight pants can also drag the cup off.
  • The cord won't hold its tension. The holder is often on upside down. Flip it, pull the cord through again and lock it. Our coaches see this one a lot.
  • Blisters on the head. Usually too many hours too soon, or tape that is missing or wrinkled. One member got blisters after 8 straight hours on day one. Tape the head every time, build up slowly and check every 45 to 60 minutes. If you get one, stop all vacuum until it heals fully.
  • You barely feel it when you sit. Bending the knee lowers the pull. Our coaches move the band higher on the knee for long sitting, or accept less pull and stand up now and then.
  • The band doesn't fit your leg. It is made for just below the knee, not the thigh. If it feels too small, check where it sits before anything else.
  • Erections feel weaker. That is a sign of too much. Our coaches say to take 2 days off, then come back with fewer hours or less tension.

Stop right away for pain, cold, numbness or a color change, and see a doctor if it does not come back quickly.

What Makes a Good All Day Stretcher?

Most stretchers you find online are a cheap cup on a strap. Here is what our coaches look for, based on what goes wrong for members.

  • A knee band, not a hip belt. Hip belts hide better, but our coaches say they don't give a real pull.
  • A vacuum cup, not a noose. A cup spreads the pull over the whole head. A noose squeezes one ring of skin and can cut blood flow.
  • Tension marks you can repeat. Lines on the cord let you set the same pull every day instead of guessing.
  • A cord holder that locks and stays put. If the cord slips, the tension drops and the cup can pop off.
  • Soft padding with no exposed stitching. You wear it for hours, so anything that rubs becomes a problem.
  • Works with the cups you have. You need a cup that fits you, so the stretcher should take more than one kind.
  • A real guarantee. If it doesn't work for you, you should be able to send it back.

All Day Stretcher Questions

What is an all day stretcher?

An all day stretcher, or ADS, is a soft band you wear just below the knee, with an elastic cord that clips to a vacuum cup on the head of the penis. It pulls gently downward at low tension, about 1 to 5 lb, so you can wear it for hours under loose clothes.

Does an all day stretcher work?

No study has tested an all day stretcher by itself. Traction studies that grew length had men wear a device 4 to 9 hours a day, and an ADS is the easiest way to get that many hours at low tension. Our coaches use it after an extender session, not instead of one.

Is an all day stretcher better than an extender?

They do different jobs. An extender gives higher, steady tension for 1 to 2 hours. An all day stretcher adds hours of light tension after that. Our coaches' routine uses both: extender first, then the stretcher for 2 to 4 hours.

Can I use only an all day stretcher?

You can, and some men start that way. Our coaches say you should still gain some length with about 5 hours a day in the stretcher, but that an extender plus the stretcher works better and faster.

How many hours a day should I wear an all day stretcher?

Start with 30 to 60 minutes and add time each week. Our coaches aim for 2 to 4 hours after an extender session, and most men on our product page wear it 4 to 6 hours a day, some up to 8. Stop for cold, numbness or pain.

How much tension should an all day stretcher use?

Start at 1 to 3 lines on the cord. Each line is about 1 lb. The stretcher tops out around 5 lb. If you want more pull than that, use the extender.

Can I sleep with an all day stretcher on?

No. You get erections at night, and you should never stretch while erect. You can also roll into a position that cuts blood flow without waking up. Take it off before bed.

Can I wear an all day stretcher at work?

Many men do. It hides well under loose jeans, joggers and work pants. Slim dress pants can show the cord. Hip belt designs don't work well, so stick with the knee band.

Can I go to the gym or run in an all day stretcher?

Walking is fine at low tension. Baseem and our coaches don't recommend running or lifting in it, because you can get hurt.

Can I sit or drive with an all day stretcher?

Yes, but sitting lowers the pull because your knee is bent. For long sitting, move the band higher on the knee. You will feel more pull with the leg fairly straight.

How do I pee with an all day stretcher on?

Unclip the cord and take the cup off. To put it back on without a pump, leave a little space in the cup and push the air out. It creates a vacuum on its own.

Why does my all day stretcher cup keep slipping?

Air is leaking in. Check that the sleeve is not loose or too short, trim hair short and smooth the sleeve. A second sleeve is fine if you feel no cold or numbness. Epic Cups V3 hold vacuum well over long wear.

Why won't the cord stay locked?

The holder is often upside down. Flip it, pull the cord through again until 1 to 3 lines show, and lock it.

Can an all day stretcher cause blisters?

Yes, usually from too many hours too soon or missing tape. Tape the head every time, build up slowly and check every 45 to 60 minutes. If you get a blister, stop using any vacuum until it heals fully.

Does the band go on the knee or the thigh?

Just below the knee. On the thigh it slides and gives almost no pull.

Should I use the pump before or after the all day stretcher?

After. Our coaches' order is extender, then the all day stretcher, then the pump. Read how to use a penis pump.

Does all day stretcher time count in the PE Trainer app?

Yes. Log it as a stretching session. The app keeps it with your other stretching time.

Which cups work with the Epic All Day Stretcher?

Epic Cups V3, and most vacuum cups on the market, through the cup adapter on the cord. You need a cup and a sleeve to use the stretcher.

Are the tension lines exact?

No, they are a guide. Each line is about 1 lb, but the real pull depends on your height and the length of the cord. Use the same line each time so your tension stays the same.

How much length can an all day stretcher add?

In traction studies, men gained about 1.2 to 2.3 cm over 3 to 6 months of daily wear. In our app, men who measured a year in gained a typical half inch, and the top 10% an inch or more. Most use the stretcher together with an extender.

What is the best all day stretcher?

Look for a knee band, a vacuum cup instead of a noose, tension lines you can repeat, a cord holder that locks, soft padding and a real guarantee. We built the Epic All Day Stretcher V2 around that list. It comes with a 180-day money back guarantee.

Is an all day stretcher safe?

At low tension, with the head taped and checked every 45 to 60 minutes, it is one of the gentlest ways to stretch. In traction studies, side effects were mild. Stop right away if the head turns cold, pale, purple or numb, and never sleep in it.
