You need two numbers, both taken when you are fully hard. Use a ruler and a soft tape, or a piece of string.
1
Measure your length
Get fully hard.
Press a ruler into the skin at the base, on top of the shaft.
Measure to the tip. That is your erect length.
2
Measure your girth
Wrap a soft tape around the thickest part of the shaft.
No tape? Wrap a string, mark where it meets, then lay it on a ruler.
That number is your girth.
Base, middle or tip?
Measure around the thickest part. For most men that is near the base or the middle. A cylinder that fits your thickest part fits the rest of you too.

What Size Penis Pump Do I Need?
It comes down to your girth. Here is where 10,040 men in our app started, and the cylinder each girth needs.

Penis pump for a small penis
Under 4 inches around, pick the 1.5" cylinder. From 4.0 to 4.7 inches, pick 1.75". About 1 in 10 men start under 4.09 inches. Thinner men also gain the most. In our app, pumpers who started under 4.75 inches gained a typical +0.24" of girth, against +0.08" for men over 5.25 inches.
Average size
The middle man starts at 5.00 inches around. That needs the 1.93" cylinder. Half of all men sit between 4.65 and 5.51 inches, so the 1.75", 1.93" and 2.1" cylinders fit most of them.
Thicker than most
1 in 10 men start over 5.95 inches around. You need the 2.32" cylinder or wider. Over 7 inches around, go with the 2.87". A tube that is too tight will rub and pinch, so never squeeze into a smaller one.
Pumping for girth or length
The size rule is the same either way. Pumps mostly build girth. Men who added 10+ pump hours to an extender routine gained a typical +0.12" of girth, while extender-only men gained 0.00". Their length gains were bigger too: +0.39" against +0.24".
Which size most men buy
The 1.93" cylinder. It was 22.9% of the 1,618 Epic cylinders bought in the past 12 months. More than 3 in 4 buyers (77.2%) picked 2.1" or smaller.
Does length matter?
Less than width. 9 out of 10 men start under 7.48 inches long, measured bone-pressed. That fits well inside the 9-inch cylinder. Only men over 8.5 inches need the 12-inch one.
Too Big or Too Small? How to Tell
Here is what the wrong width feels like.
Too small
The tube rubs or pinches your sides.
You can't fill out, so results stall.
It can leave bruises.
Too big
Skin at the base swells into the tube.
Your balls can get pulled in.
The seal leaks and pressure drops.
Between two sizes?
Trust the calculator. It already adds room to fill out. If the tube feels tight after a few weeks, it is time to size up.
When to Size Up
Pumping can make you thicker over time. When your shaft starts to touch the sides, or your girth moves into the next row of the chart, go up one width. The Epic Pump sits on top of the cylinder, so you keep your pump and just swap the tube.
72%
of men with 50+ pump hours in our app gained girth
Measure your erect length and girth. Divide your girth by 3.14 to get your width, add 1/4 inch, and pick the next cylinder up. Our calculator above does it for you.
How are penis pump sizes measured?
By the cylinder's width and length, in inches. Epic cylinders come in 7 widths from 1.5 to 2.87 inches, and 9 or 12 inches long.
How do I measure my girth?
When you are fully hard, wrap a soft tape around the thickest part of your shaft. No tape? Use a string, mark where it meets, and measure the string on a ruler.
Is 2 inches wide big?
Yes. A shaft 2 inches wide is about 6.3 inches around. In our app, 9 out of 10 men start under 5.95 inches around.
Should a penis pump fit tight?
No. You want at least 1/4 inch of room around your shaft. Too tight pinches. Too loose breaks the seal.
How long should the cylinder be?
Long enough that your tip never touches the end. The 9-inch cylinder fits men up to 8.5 inches long. Longer than that, pick 12 inches.
How much girth can a pump add?
In our app, 72% of men with 50+ pump hours gained girth. Their typical gain was 0.24 inches.
Can I change my cylinder size later?
Yes. The Epic Pump sits on top of the cylinder, so you can swap in a new size and keep your pump. Every cylinder is sold on its own in all 7 widths and both lengths.
How long should I pump for?
Start under 5 inHg, keep sessions to 15 to 20 minutes, and give it months. Our how to use a penis pump guide walks you through it step by step.
